LifeCare – an Advantage
that Frees You from Worry
Lakeview
Village is proud to offer a LifeCare benefit to qualifying residents.
This is an agreement between you, the resident, and Lakeview Village
that guarantees you:

Lifetime residency;
- Use of our award-winning Care Center for long-term care
- Whenever you need it
- As many times as you need it
- As long as you need it
- For no increased regular monthly fee, except for extra meals.
(There may be considerable extra costs for medications and nursing
supplies.)
- A trusted place to recover from surgery or illness--as many
times as you need--and still go back home with the same skilled
physical therapist who's been helping you in the Care Center.
A LifeCare contract offers enormous benefits:

Relief from the spiraling costs of nursing home care (as of
June, 2006, an average of $6,000 per month nationally).

Knowing
where you will get nursing home care, if you ever need it.

Knowing the caregivers.

Sparing your family and friends the agony of finding “the
right place” if you should need care.

Knowing your residence will be maintained for you, so long
as there is expectation that you will return to it.

If you are married, no extra monthly residence fee (except
for the extra meals), even though you are in one location and
your spouse in another.
Alternatives to LifeCare
Lakeview offers five different Residency and Care Agreements, one
of which does not include LifeCare. A few of our residents do not
utilize LifeCare because they have a very comprehensive long-term
care insurance policy that takes its place; or because they want
the Lakeview lifestyle, even though they do not qualify for LifeCare.

Health Care
Lakeview offers an array of health care services and options, including:

An
onsite medical clinic, staffed by two Board-certified internists
who work exclusively with mature adults, and by an Advanced
Registered Nurse Practitioner. (Residents are welcome to use
this clinic or any doctor of their choice.)

Periodic blood pressure checks, vision screening, and hearing
screenings.

A massage therapist, on campus weekly.

An award-winning, 120-bed, skilled nursing facility -- the
Care Center.

An outstanding Rehabilitation Department, located in the Care
Center, with certification in Parkinson’s Disease care.

Village Care, a home care agency and concierge service that
has reasonable charges, calculated by quarter hours and not
including transportation time.
