Lakeview Foundation

Has the mission to create and foster giving opportunities that support, enrich, and enhance programs and services for residents
Is governed by an 11-member Board of Trustees, of whom 6 members are Lakeview residents
Includes Lakeview residents, their family members and friends, and businesses as donors
Is a 501(c) (3) organization, so donations are tax-deductible as provided by law
Provides full or partial funding for projects such as:

Resident assistance for short-term emergency needs

The walking path, bridges, and benches around Fountain Lake

Shuttle bus purchases

Our chaplaincy program

Computer, book racks, and other equipment for the library

Exercise equipment in the high rises

Remodeling and refurbishing of the Heritage Place dining room

Equipment purchases for the Care Center

Updating of the rehab/therapy room equipment in the Care Center

Piano repair and maintenance
Prefers unrestricted donations to fund projects

Offers free educational seminars on topics such as
   - Spousal and non-spousal
      inheritance rules for traditional
      IRAs and Qualified Plans
   - Trusts, Joint Tenancy, and Probate
   - Current tax law changes affecting
      estates

Is currently embarking on its first-ever capital campaign
Welcomes Charitable Gift Annuities from residents
